How to Create a Facebook Page for Business

1) Go to Facebook.com. select: “create a page” for a celebrity, band or business.

2) Select your company classification:

Local business or place

Artist, band, or public figure

Company, organization, or institution

Entertainment

Brand or product

Cause / community

3) Choose your category and enter your business name. The business option also asks for further location information. Be aware that your category and name cannot be changed after your page is created.

4) Set up info for email and passwords.

5) Enter basic info about your site using “Edit Page”

6) Set your site address : Go to MANAGE -> EDIT PAGE -> BASIC INFORMATION -> CHANGE THE USERNAME (you may need to verify your account before doing this)

7) Facebook offers various features for promoting your pages. Here are some popular features:

Invite friends.

Tell fans.

Post your status updates.

Promote your page on your website.

Set up your mobile phone.

8) To promote the page on your site find plugins by going to: MANAGE -> EDIT PAGE -> RESOURCES -> SOCIAL PLUGINS

9) To see how many people have become fans of your page or “Liked” your page, go to: MANAGE -> EDIT PAGE -> INSIGHTS

How to Get the Most Out of Your Day (Intending Your Day)

To get the most out of each day, plan your day the night before so you have goals for what you want to achieve and prevent yourself from getting sidetracked. When you plan your day the night before, your mind will work on creating your day while you sleep.

1) Decide what you want to do, at what time of the day, and how long each task will take.

2) Every morning think of the things you are grateful for in your life, then close your eyes and visualize the day going exactly as you as you want it to go in detail (intend your day). Imagine the things you want to happen, what it will feel like when these things happen, and the result you want. Imagine having a pleasant day and plenty of time to accomplish what you need to do.

Next, visualize your bigger goals. You might have affirmations for each goal and say them out loud. If you want a new car, for example, you might have a picture of a car on one side of a card, and on the other side you might write down what you want and an affirmation. Close your eyes and visualize driving the car.

3) Put images of what you want in your house to remind you of what you want and to help attract these things into your life.

4) When not feeling well, ask yourself what you are thinking (it is usually negative thinking) and find better feeling thoughts.

5) Have a gratitude journal and take a few minutes to write down what you are grateful for each day.

6) Take inspired actions. These inspirations can be guides that will lead you to where you want to go.

7) When going to sleep, if something did not go as planned in your day, replay it in your mind in a way that makes you happy.

Installing WordPress and Plugins – HostGator Example

1) Get a hosting account on a site such as hostgator.com. We recommend the Hostgator Baby Plan or the Reseller Plan, both of which will allow you to add additional domains in case you want to build more sites in the future. Check out HostGator below.

2) Get your domain hosted with a domain hosting service, such as GoDaddy.

3) Forward domain from domain hosting service to your webhost: In you domain hosting service, click on your domain name and find nameservers for the domain name. Replace server names with names provided by your hosting service. Here is an example with Godaddy:

Go to Domains -> Domain Management -> click on domain name -> click nameservers -> set nameservers -> replace nameservers 1 and 2 with nameservers given by hosting provider.

4) In you hosting account, go to your C-panel and click on the “Add on Domains” if you need to add a domain to your hosting. Fill out the information for the domain name and password. Next, in your C-panel click on the Fatastico icon (if using Hostgator). Click on WordPress. Click on “new installation”. Leave “install in root folder” blank. Enter rest of information and save it for future use. When complete, log into your new WordPress site.

5) To install themes, in the Admin panel go to Appearance -> Themes -> Install themes.

6) Go to Comments -> Select and trash the default comment.

7) Change permalink setting: Go to permlinks -> Choose custom -> enter: %postname%.

8) Install plugin called “All In One SEO Pack”: Go to Plugins -> Go to “add new”and search for the plugin and install it.

9) Install a Google sitemap generator plugin: Go to Plugins -> Go to “add new” and search for the plugin and install it.

10) Under “plugins”, activate Akisment plugin to catch spam.

11) Go to “General Settings” , For “Wordpress Address” and “Site Address”, add www. to the addresses. Ex: http://www.abundantideas.com
